3(10 − 1) + 7(10 − 2) + 6(10 − 3)  = .376 1(52) + 1(51) + 4(50)  = 34 1(22) + 0(21) + 1(20)  = 5 3(42) + 2(41) + 1(40)  = 60  This set contains a mistake.
You are correct.
3(42) + 2(41) + 1(40) = 57,   not 60.
Did you notice that in the last few questions a new idea has been developed? It is possible to write any number you please as a sum of multiples of powers of numbers. This has important consequences.
