Your answer :
9.
You are correct. The product resulting from using 3 as a factor twice, and no other factor, is, of course, 9,
3 × 3 = 9.
So we may have multiplications in which the same number is used as a factor more than one time. We may have such multiplications as
4 × 4  = 16,  5 × 5  = 25,  6 × 6  = 36
and so on.
There is no reason to stop when we have used the same number as a factor twice, either. We can use the same number as a factor as many times as we please. For example, what product shall we reach by using 2 as a factor three times and no other factor?
